1. Seller and applicable terms
For a purchase sold by Paddle, Paddle is the merchant of record. Paddle handles payment support, cancellations and refunds, and its Buyer Terms and Refund Policy govern that transaction. Purchases sold through Lemon Squeezy, Apple or Google are handled under the respective seller’s terms.
If applicable law or the seller’s policy gives you more rights than this page, those rights apply.
2. When a refund may be available
Joy does not offer an additional voluntary money-back guarantee. Unless required by law or the applicable seller’s policy, a change of mind, an accidental purchase, unused subscription time or unused credits after digital access has been provided does not entitle you to a refund. Cancelling a subscription does not itself refund an earlier payment or create a prorated refund for the remaining period.
The seller may consider a discretionary refund under its own policy. Your rights if a product is defective, inaccessible or materially different from its description remain unaffected.
3. Statutory withdrawal rights
Consumers in some countries, including the EU, EEA and UK, may have a 14-day statutory withdrawal right for qualifying digital purchases. Whether it applies, and whether a lawful exception applies after immediate digital delivery, depends on the product, your express consent at checkout and local law. This policy does not limit any mandatory consumer right.
4. Subscriptions and one-time purchases
A cancellation stops future subscription renewals. Paid access normally continues until the end of the current billing period, unless a refund or another applicable rule ends it earlier. Joy Lifetime and Joy Credits are one-time purchases and do not renew. If a purchase is refunded, the related access or credits may be removed.
5. How to request help or a refund
For a Paddle purchase, use the support link in your receipt or Paddle’s buyer support portal to request a refund or manage a subscription. For a Lemon Squeezy purchase, use the links in your receipt or customer account. For an Apple App Store or Google Play purchase, request a refund through the relevant store.
For a problem with Joy itself, contact us with your order details and a description of the issue so we can investigate. You may still contact the seller of record directly, and doing so does not limit your statutory rights.
6. Printed books
Personalized printed books are sold separately and are covered by our Print Product Terms. Physical books are not sold through Paddle.
